Professional Development

Workshops and Lectures Series: These events, featuring visiting experts and professionals on various themes related to learning differences, are open to the public. See Workshop and Lecture Calendar.

Training Opportunities: The Highlands School’s unique teaching methodology calls on well-known and well-researched educational approaches including, but not limited to, those methods developed by the Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, and Lindamood-Bell, as well as multi-sensory math instruction that can be adapted to individual styles of learning.

The Highlands School training prepares each teacher to deliver the specific Highlands education in both the classroom/group setting and in small, individualized instructional setting.
